TOP 5 Things to consider when CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING VENUE

On the Your Marriage Awaits Podcast Rochelle shared with Nicole her top 5 tips for when it comes time to choose your dream wedding venue. Here is a short recap of what was discussed in the Podcast episode. For more information listen to her episode with the link above!

Number 1: Know your Numbers - Have a good idea of your guest list number before you start looking into venues

Number 2: Know the style of wedding you want and look at venues that fit that description

Number 3: Choose your location - Knowing where you want to get married and how far you and your guests are willing to travel will allow you to choose the venue that's right for you

Number 4: Once you know your location look up venues in that area that fit your style and guest numbers make a list of your top 3-5 and arrange to meet the owners at the venue for a site visit

Number 5: Prepare a list of questions to ask while visiting the venue - ask things that are important to you such as catering options

If you need help preparing questions to ask on your venue visits we have a download available in the resource store. The two-page checklist covers questions to ask your venue and space to make notes. Then when you are back home use our 'Ultimate Wedding Planning Spreadsheet' to update your thoughts on each venue to easily keep track of the important details!

Meet Rochelle!

HI, MY NAMES ROCHELLE FLEMING

BUSINESS OWNER IN THE WEDDING AND EVENTS SPACE

Hi, I have been running a wedding and events venue out in Whitford for the last coming up to two years. Prior to that in the wedding space I have been a celebrant and mc since 2007 and have been operating a hire props business for 11 years called Something Borrowed and a pop up wedding business born out of covid called Just love weddings.

Alongside that I'm a mum to two beautiful girls and wife to Aaron and together we run the wedding and events venue alongside our other day to day commitments. I also have a small studio in Howick from home - a fitness and pilates space called Core Strength and Pregnancy Barre - focused on Pilates and Fitness for pre / postnatal and beyond. I also offer one on one PT sessions and private group sessions.

It is a busy and varied life and I feel privileged to be in the service industry - being involved in important milestones and celebrations in people's lives and also assisting people in the health and wellness space.

I'm very passionate about bringing people together, creating connection and overall health and wellness for others and that is my motivating and driving factor.

I also like the challenge of learning and growing in business and there have certainly been many challenges and opportunities along the way. I lead a dynamic life and I seek reward through helping and assisting others and to constantly improve and better myself and my businesses along the way.
